The Promise of Tomorrow:
2008 Annual Fund

Since 1987 the CFIDS Association of America has led steady progress in pursuit of its mission to conquer chronic fatigue syndrome. Through education, public policy and research programs, the Association has served tens of thousands of patients, caregivers, health care professionals, reporters, legislators and policymakers, researchers and scientists. The Association has galvanized a community of people whose lives have been derailed by a disabling and isolating condition, too long misunderstood. We have attracted attention from the national and local media, from the highest levels of government and major medical establishments.

Continuing this work depends upon the generosity of the individuals we serve. Individuals like you.

Through the 2008 Annual Fund campaign we aim to raise $750,000 in unrestricted gifts to support all our programs and continue the momentum. With our recent success in meeting the ambitious $1 million goal for research, it might seem that the financial needs have been met. But the research fund is restricted to that specific purpose and there is no other source of funding for vital services that complement our research program.

The push for expanded research has created new energy for this cause; we must translate that momentum to other areas of our work. To do so, we need your help. With your donation, you can help fulfill The Promise of Tomorrow and make a difference in the everyday lives of CFS patients.

Please help us secure the promise—and the power—of the future for the entire CFS community.
