Provider Education Project

Promotional ad
Feedback from both patients and health care professionals was central to the redesign of a print advertisement promoting the CFS provider education project. The ad, targeted toward a multidisciplinary audience that includes physicians, physician assistants, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, will be placed in several medical and health care journals including “The Journal of Family Practice” and “New England Journal of Medicine.”

Large exhibit display
In November 2003, a new 8’ x 8’ free-standing exhibit was unveiled at the American Public Health Conference in San Francisco . The display, a collaborative effort of The CFIDS Association and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, reminds health care professionals that they can “help the person behind the symptoms” and offers information about CFS and opportunities for continuing education opportunities. The exhibit will be utilized at numerous national conferences over the next year.

Small banner display
A smaller version of the exhibit is also helping to enhance interest in and knowledge of CFS. The size and portability of this display makes it ideal for use at patient conferences and local meetings. For information about “borrowing” the banner stand for your event, contact meded@cfids.org.

American College of Physicians (Internal Medicine specialty)

America Academy of Physician Assistants

Women’s Health Conference 2004
