Action Alert!
The editorial page of your local newspaper is widely read by
people in your community, including lawmakers and other thought leaders who want
to know what’s important to area residents.
This week, we invite you to join with other advocates to
get CFIDS onto the editorial pages of newspapers around the
country. Using the CFIDS Association of America’s new Grassroots Action
Center, you can do this with minimal time and effort. In just 5
minutes you can send a ready-made Letter to the Editor to all the
newspapers in your region.
Seven days ago we launched our Grassroots Action Center (GAC)
and many advocates responded. More than 1,000 letters about
increased funding for CFIDS research were sent through the GAC to members of
Congress. This week we want to double that number!
It’s easy to help. Simply "click" on the
Capitol Building icon located on the left navigational bar at
http://www.cfids.org/,
and follow the steps from there.
Make an even greater impact by using the "Tell a
Friend" feature to spread the word to others who can take 5 minutes to
build awareness. Don’t worry – we won’t contact people you designate unless they
join the list on their own.
Thank you for making this program an instant success. Help us
generate 2,000 letters to newspapers across the country during the next week to
lead up to CFIDS Awareness Day on May 12!
