Town Hall Meeting in Your District!

Advocacy Alert: 7/31/2007

Your member of Congress, will be among those who hold one or more Town Hall Meetings in your area during the August Congressional recess.

Please learn more about what you can do to gain support for making CFS a higher NIH priority during the month of August, when Congress goes home to meet with constituents. We've created two resources for you:

A written primer, "August is Prime Time," is posted at http://www.cfids.org/cfidslink/2007/080106.asp and a webinar event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7 at 3:30 p.m. (Eastern time). Register at https://www.gotomeeting.com/register/128552820 for this free program to hear from experts about how to make the most of the Town Hall meeting in your area.

Here are a few of the early dates/locations for Town Hall meetings:

Rep. Rush Holt (NJ-12) in Frenchtown on Aug. 4
Rep. Ciro Rodriguez (TX-23) in San Antonio on Aug. 5
Rep. Christopher Murphy (CT-5) in New Britain on Aug. 5

We'll send a list of dates/cities for more events as we gather information. You can find specific locations and details on your member's web site, which you can access from www.house.gov.

We hope you'll take this opportunity to seek support from your member of Congress when they come to hear your concerns and needs. Thank you for your interest and participation in CFIDS advocacy!
