UnumProvident,
America's largest
long term disability (LTD) insurer is coming under fire from multiple targets.
Here are three recent developments that people with CFIDS may find of
interest.
DATELINE NBC AIRS STORY On October
13, DatelineNBC aired a program about the company's alleged efforts to terminate

Rumor has it that "60 Minutes" will be airing a similar
story about UnumProvident, although no air date has been
announced.
FORMER EMPLOYEE FILES SUIT
Dr. Patrick Fergal McSharry, a former UnumProvident medical director, has
filed suit against the company "alleging that medical personnel were encouraged
to deny disability claims."

UNUMPROVIDENT CLASS ACTION SUIT Jon
Holder, Esq., a Maine attorney, has recently filed a class action lawsuit on
behalf of persons who feel that UnumProvident has unfairly denied or terminated
their long-term disability benefits. He is seeking witnesses who are willing to
go public with their complaints against UnumProvident's claims review
process.
