CFS Advisory Committee to hold its second
meeting

The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC) of the
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will hold its second meeting in
Washington, D.C. on Monday, December 8, 2003. The official notice is expected to
run later this week in the Federal Register. It will include further details,
including time, location and contact information for those who wish to offer
public testimony. The CFIDS Association of America will forward the Federal
Register announcement to C-ACT members and others as soon as it is
published.
The purpose of the CFSAC is to "provide expert advice and
recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on a broad range
of issues and topics pertaining to CFS." It is comprised of 11 members of the
public, appointed by the Secretary for Health. Federal health agencies are
represented by non-voting, ex-officio members. The committee roster follows.
