Advocacy Alert: 12/3/2001
The House and Senate have each passed its fiscal year
2002 (FY02) Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies
bill, which provides Congressional direction for federal chronic fatigue and
immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS) programs for the fiscal year that began
October 1. For a look at the CFIDS-related language in these bills, see:
http://www.cfids.org/advocacy/Appropriations-FY02.asp
.
The House and Senate are expected to meet in conference before the end
of December to agree upon the final version of the bill, but the CFIDS-related
language should not be affected. If there are any changes to the CFIDS-related
language in the final bill, an
updated C-ACT alert will be issued.
