Empowerment Through Advocacy: A Lobby Day Preview
Presented by Kim McCleary, CFIDS Association President & CEO
Thursday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m. (Eastern time)
Location: Your computer!
Using a cool web-based service provided by GoToMeeting, you’ll be able to watch a slide show (seated in front of your own computer), listen to Kim (using your telephone – cell or land-line) and type or ask questions. It’s easier to use than you might think!
Just follow these instructions:
Before the time of the meeting:
2. Download their free software and make sure it runs on your computer
On Thursday, April 12, at 4:30 p.m.(Eastern):
2. At the same time, call (605) 772-3434, access code 273-778-278.
Don’t have the option of being on the computer and the phone at the same time? Choose one or the other. If you choose the computer option, it will be like sitting in a room and watching a slide show with no sound. If you choose the telephone option, it will be like a conference call where you can’t see what the speaker is referring to on her slides. You can switch between the two formats, if you’d like to test it both ways. Sorry, but we won’t be able to provide technical assistance during the event.
* We’re extending the Lobby Day registration deadline for those who participate in the webinar to give you time to make your plans. You’ll have a chance to register by April 20. Please note: the hotel room block for the discounted group rate still expires on April 16, so if you’re thinking about attending, please reserve a room by calling. Tell them you are participating in “CFIDS Lobby Day” and need a room in that group block. If later you find you can’t make it to Lobby Day, the room reservation can be cancelled.
