Dave’s wave goodbye David Hoh, who served as
editor of
The CFIDS Chronicle from the Summer 1997 issue through this July, has left the world of journalism
for an elementary school classroom. He is teaching 4th grade this fall in Charlotte, N.C.
"It
has been a real privilege to serve as a member of the staff of The CFIDS Association and to work with
and learn from many of you in the CFIDS community," Hoh said. "I am excited by opportunities afforded
by recent developments in research laboratories around the world and particularly by the action plan being
undertaken by the Association to ensure that those opportunities are converted into tangible gains.
"This
career change is one I’ve contemplated for many years, and I had the unique opportunity to make it happen
this summer. However, the lessons you have taught me through your letters, your articles and your activism
as well as the dedication of my fellow staff members at the Association, will always be a part of my life.
Thank you."
