New faces at the Association
Teresa (Terri) Lupton, BSS, RN, a
nurse educator
who has spent the last 10 years implementing community and professional education programs on a wide variety
of health topics, has joined the Association as Coordinator for Educational Opportunities. She will be
leading the Association’s health care provider CFIDS curriculum project (for more information, see
Message to Members in this issue).
Lori Flaherty, a publications
professional
with extensive experience, including working for McGraw-Hill, one of the nation’s leading book publishers,
has joined the Association in the position of Editor. She will be gaining responsibility for The CFIDS
Chronicle and The CFS Research Review. Readers will be introduced to Lori in the fall issue.
Renée Brehio, current editor of the Chronicle, will be turning her attention to more
communications and public relations projects, including generating more media coverage for CFIDS.
Educating ERs
The Association is help-ing MedicAlert develop a
fact sheet about
CFIDS. MedicAlert is a nonprofit organization that provides
an emergency medical identification system
for people with medical problems. The fact sheet will be used to educate emergency response teams and
hospital emergency department staff about the illness.
