DePaul Pediatric Health Questionnaire
Early in 2007, a working group from the International Association of CFS/ME (IACFS/ME)—including leading CFS researchers like Dr. Leonard Jason, Dr. David Bell, Dr. Peter Rowe and others—released a pediatric-specific case definition for chronic fatigue syndrome. In addition to this, Dr. Jason and his colleagues at DePaul University released an assessment instrument for use in clinical and research settings. The questions capture data that sheds light on the child’s illness experience and can be scored by a health care professional against the pediatric diagnostic criteria.
There are two versions of the assessment questionnaire: one for a child to fill out and one that an adult guardian or health care professional can complete with the child’s assistance.
