This flier about CFS will go to thousands of key policymakers, thought leaders and media contacts as the latest installment of Research!America’s series “Investment in Research Saves Lives and Money.”

Research!America Features CFS

During the week of May 7, Research!America will spread current and credible information about CFS
to Capitol Hill, health agency leaders, public health officials, research academics, governors, state legislators and media professionals.

Through a collaboration with the CFIDS Association, Research!America developed a double-sided flier about CFS as the 23rd installment in its series “Investment in Research Saves Lives and Money.” The flier will also be used in the Association’s Lobby Day information packets, Research!America’s outreach packets, and will be available on both organizations’ websites (see below). Funding for the joint initiative was provided by five CFIDS Association donors.

Research!America is a coalition of more than 500 organizations working together to make medical research and prevention a higher national priority. They are credited with the 1990s Congressional doubling of the NIH budget.

Researh!America is chaired by former U.S. Representative John E. Porter, who championed CFS issues during his tenure as chairman of the House Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee.

The CFIDS Association has been a member of Research!America since 2005. CFS will be featured in their June 2007 newsletter, as well.
