The “Faces of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” traveling photo exhibit continues to make its way to locations large and small, raising awareness about the impact CFS has on the lives of everyday people.
The exhibit features 10 dramatic seven-foot-tall banners featuring portraits by renowned celebrity photographer George Lange. Eight of the banners carry a portrait of a person with CFS and a quote about that person’s experience with the illness. Two more banners depict prominent medical spokespeople Dr. Anthony Komaroff and Dr. David Bell with quotes describing how real this illness is. The exhibit is stocked with brochures providing CFS facts and resources.
The exhibit promotes awareness of and support for CFS and the people who have it—making the public more attuned to the seriousness of the illness and encouraging people with symptoms of CFS to seek medical attention. People who’ve seen the exhibit have called it moving, validating and inspiring.
