Sustenance and Convenience: The Chairman’s Circle

Automatic bank drafts are a convenience for many of us. We often make monthly car payments and pay our mortgages and utility bills that way.

Have you ever considered making gifts to the CFIDS Association of America in the same manner?

Many donors choose to make monthly renewal gifts through automatic bank drafts, or electronic funds transfers. We call them the Chairman’s Circle, and membership does have its advantages.

The advantages of joining the Chairman’s Circle: (1) you can give more, if you choose, without feeling the immediate financial pinch of a single, sizable gift; (2) you can stretch out your gift over an entire year and still enjoy the tax advantages, (3) you do not receive appeals by mail throughout the year; (4) you receive news updates periodically from the Association aimed exclusively at the Chairman’s Circle.

The Association depends heavily upon individual donors–like its monthly Chairman’s Circle members–for funds to sustain its ongoing programs like policy advocacy, public awareness, provider education, patient support and research. In fact, except for government grants for specific projects, in a typical year individual gifts comprise 83% of the Association’s income. Monthly income from the Chairman’s Circle is a vital income stream to support all of the Association’s services to the CFS community.

The new year might be a great time to sign up for the Chairman’s Circle! Remember: Your recurring gift will give the Association a stable source of revenue throughout the year. What a good opportunity to help make CFS history in 2008!

Simply print out and complete the monthly giving form and mail it to the Association at PO Box 220398, Charlotte, NC, 28222-0398. Thank you!
