Research Grants
The Wayne and Gladys Valley Foundation recently approved a
research grant of $120,000 to The CFIDS Association to help the Association fund
legitimizing science and speed progress toward better diagnostics and treatment
and improved health for people suffering from CFIDS. We are also pleased to
announce $5,000 in research support from The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert
Foundation. The Association extends its appreciation to both foundations for
their generosity and commitment to expanding vital CFIDS research.
These grants are part of a growing and important tradition for
The CFIDS Association. In early 2001, we began a solid and productive
relationship with The Faith and James Knight Foundation with a $102, 750 grant
in support of CFIDS research and provider education. Our partnership has
strengthened over the past several years and we’ve been able to work together to
leverage their grant support and inspire others to give. Their most recent gift
included seed funding for the Association’s February 29th Oscar-night
benefit event held inNew York City.
