Action! Oscar Night Gala
On February 29, 2004, The CFIDS
Association of America honored best-selling author and CFIDS activist and CFIDS
sufferer, Laura Hillenbrand, for her efforts to raise public awareness of
chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS, also known as chronic
fatigue syndrome or CFS).
Close to 100 Association friends and benefactors came out to
support the Oscar night gala which raised nearly $100,000 for Association-led
efforts to expand CFIDS research.
The CFIDS Association extends special thanks to event
