Disabling browser pop-up window blocking

If your computer has a pop-up blocker installed it may be stopping you from opening our web page even though pages even though you clicked to view them. We have outlined how to disable pop-up blocking in several common applications below. Also, keep in mind with most pop-up blockers you can simply hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the link.

Once your pop-up blocker has been disabled, you should be able to view the page. You may want to re-enable your pop-up blocker after completing the session.


 

To disable pop-up blocking in Internet Explorer with Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2:

Launch Internet Explorer. From the Tools menu, select Pop-up Blocker, then select “Turn Off Pop-up Blocker”. Alternatively, leave Pop-up Blocker on and add clinicalrounds.com in the Allowed Sites list within Pop-up Blocker Settings.

To disable pop-up blocking in Netscape 7.x:

  1. Launch Netscape.
  2. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  3. Expand Privacy and Security.
  4. Select Pop-up Windows.
  5. Under Pop-up Windows ensure the item Block Unrequested Pop-up Windows is unchecked. Alternatively, leave this option on, but enter clinicalrounds.com in the Allowed Sites list.

To disable pop-up blocking in Firefox 1.x:

  1. Launch Firefox.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Options.
  3. Select Web Features.
  4. Ensure Block Pop-up Windows is unchecked. Alternatively, leave this option on, but enter clinicalrounds.com in the Allowed Sites list.

To disable pop-up blocking in Safari 2.x:

  1. Launch Safari.
  2. From the Safari menu, ensure Block Pop-up Windows is unchecked.

To disable pop-up blocking using Google's toolbar:

  1. Click the Options button on the Google toolbar.
  2. Within the Navigation section of the Browsing tab, ensure Pop-up Blocker is unchecked. Alternatively, you can allow pop-ups for the active site by clicking the toolbar button indicating the number of blocked pop-ups.

To remove pop-up blockers using Windows' Add/Remove Program tool:

  1. Click on the Start Button > Settings > Control Panels > Add/Remove Programs
  2. Look for the name of the program installed (i.e. NoAds)
  3. Select the program name and click Remove
  4. Follow any instructions you are given, then close the Control Panels

To disable 3rd party Pop-Up Blocking Software:

  1. Open the program
  2. Look for the options on the menu
  3. Check for a button to disable (some programs allow you to disable or pause them by right clicking on the programs system tray icon)
  4. Close the program
